To book your appointment please call 01228 524477

If you choose to wait for a an appointment with a  particular GP may result in a longer wait and this may not always be possible. All clinical staff in the practice can see your information.

Our call handlers have been asked by the clinical staff to take the reason for the appointment to enable us to navigate you to the most appropriate resource.

The clinician you are booked to may use a variety of methods to conduct your consultation. This could be a telephone call, a request for photos to enable them to see issues, video calls or where required they will arrange a face to face consultation.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for the truly housebound and we expect our patients to attend surgery most of the time. If you do feel you need a home visit, please telephone the surgery, as early as possible, preferably before 10.30 a.m. A Doctor will call you back to discuss your request.

DNA’s

If you cannot attend your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. You can called to cancel on 01228 524477 and select option 3. If you have received a text reminder for your appointment, you can cancel by replying to this text with the word “CANCEL”.

Each DNA(did not attend) is an appointment another patient in need could attend.

Non-English speakers

Interpreting and translation services are available; please inform reception when booking an appointment

You can help us by:

  • Being on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment we may ask you to rearrange.
  • Letting us know if you need to cancel – You can cancel your appointment by replying CANCEL to your text reminder
  • Calling for a home visit or urgent appointment before10.30 a.m
  • Ringing for test results after 1 pm

Annual reviews

We offer annual review appointments for a variety of long term conditions. You will normally be offered this review in your month of birth.

The purpose of an annual review is to ensure patients are taking the right medication and receiving the best possible care, this is done by conducting appropriate tests and checking the patient is taking the correct medication.

  • COPD ( Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

  • Vascular Disease ( heart failure, stroke, among others)
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental Health
